Camp Saguaro is a seasonal campground open 

October 15 through April 5th.

Camp Saguaro can accommodate van campers, overlanders, tiny teardrops, truck campers and tents.   We also have a couple of shelters you can "camp" inside.  In the common area  you'll find flushing toilets, handwashing sinks, on-demand hot water showers and a kitchen sink.

Camp Saguaro is nestled in a unique and rural area on the west side of Tucson, Arizona. With the Saguaro National Park Visitor Center, Tucson Mountain Park, and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum all within four miles, there is plenty of opportunity to explore the outdoors. Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park boast hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and non-motorized mountain bikes are permitted on the trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Let us be your base camp for desert exploration whether it's hiking, riding, birdwatching, and learning. Come to Camp Saguaro and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. What to expect: We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.


We do take same day reservations and you can book up to one year in advance.  We are pet friendly if your pet is friendly.  We are a tobacco-free campground.





Campsites

"Camp" in this straw bale structure.  Bring everything but the tent to stay inside, but this site also has room for a tent outside.  Separate reserved parking spot.  Close to Magical Mushroom, so, if you're traveling with friends or family, book them both.

Lovey Dovey is a great site for a van camper, or a tent camper.  It is a flexible site.  if you have solar, there is open area for that.  If you want shade, you'll have that too.  Use it how you want to make it your temporary home.  Parking in site.

A magical place in this magical desert.  Use this however you wish.  Sleep in it (a queen air mattress will be a tight fit), relax, pray, or play.  

This van or tent site is in a great location among our native saguaros.  

You are sure to be visited by our flying jewels (hummingbirds).  They thrive in this desert.

This is a small pull-through site perfect for camper vans, tiny teardrops, cartop tents and car camping.

Curious Quail is a large site and can accommodate two vans

We cannot accommodate rigs larger than a camper van at this time. 25' total length is the max (truck and trailer).We allow camper vans, class B, tiny teardrops, truck top camper, car top tents, tents, car camping-all small.
We do not allow Class A, Class C, 5th Wheels, Long trailers.  If you have rented an RV for your vacation, you are too large unless you rented a camper van.  It is difficult to maneuver anything larger than what is listed.
